Songmonster has formed a samba drumming band called 'The Wildmonsters'. They have performed at local events such as Teenage Kicks. The group is growing fast and is very exciting to be part of. Come along and join in - no music experience required. Everyone Welcome!!
The CART project also delivers a lot of work within Mary Webb School Pontesbury on various days, this includes alternative curriculum work, anger management sessions, 1:1 intervention work, workshops on school focus days and CHAT (Confidential, Help and Advice for Teenagers) every Thursday lunchtime on the Youth bus. We are also looking at developing a Peer Mentors scheme to run alongside CHAT supporting younger members of the school with their transition to secondary school and any other issues they may encounter. If you think you have the skills to become a Peer Mentor - We will be coming into school very soon recruiting young people to train them up in this role. Interested speak to the Youth Workers on the CHAT bus!!!.
